Your Next Level of Support is generally considered a Public Domain resource. We simply ask that if you use material found on Your Next Level of Support for your own purposes, you attribute your research to us.

Original Materials

Your Next Level of Support requires that all written materials be original content (i.e., not simply republished from another site or Newsgroup post), and prefers that all multimedia materials (images, sounds, videos, etc.) be original works.

Copyrighted Works & Fair Use

Articles may contain excerpts from copyrighted materials so long as they are complicit with Section 107 of the U.S. Copyright Act ("Fair Use") which allows for certain copyrighted materials to be used in a not-for-profit, educational, transformative manner.

A written article may contain excerpts from published manuscripts (books, IBM Redbooks, BookManager Books, etc.) so long as the full work is not republished on Your Next Level of Support. You may cite the complete work for further context.

Your Next Level of Support permits the republication of photographic works from sources such as manuals, press release photos, or reseller listings so long as the photo has been scaled to at least 50% of its original size and clearly attributes the photo to its original source in the file description. For example, "Press photo of a System/38; copyright 1979 IBM, via Bitsavers.org" or "IBM 5251 Terminal picture from JohnDoe1234 via eBay.com"

YNLS requests that any copyrighted photos uploaded be replaced with non-copyrighted images as soon as images are available.

Software & Publications

Your Next Level of Support does not host copies of any software product or manuscript. YNLS may link to websites such as Bitsavers, WinWorldPC, Internet Archive, but YNLS does not and will not host copyrighted materials on its servers.

Digital Millennium Copyright Act

While we believe Your Next Level of Support is operating under Fair Use exemptions for educational, not-for-profit purposes only, you may wish to have content removed from Your Next Level of Support. If you are a copyright owner and wish to have your copyrighted work removed, please send a DMCA Takedown Notice containing the following:

A clear description of where the infringing material is located on the website including as applicable its URL so the claimed infringed material can be located;
