The IBM 5295 is a workstation released exclusively to the Japanese market.
There are two known models, the 001 and the 002. Both require the use of a 5555 Multistation monitor and do not work with standard MDA, CGA, or EGA displays.
Model 001
The Model 001 is akin to logic modules, in that its sole purpose is to be a 5250-compatible workstation.
Model 002
The Model 002 is likely based on the IBM Multistation family of hardware, another Japanese market exclusive. It requires the use of a special "Kanji DOS" IPL diskette which contains a copy of DOS and the 5250 workstation emulator.
